The Crib Connection® is….

the largest baby crib rental and child care rental equipment company in the state of Florida.  If you have any questions, please call us at 850-654-8890.

How does your service work?

Crib Connection delivers your selected baby equipment right to your rental home, condo, VRBO or hotel, as well as private homes. Please submit the online reservation request form, or you may also call 850-225.0353 to make your reservation or to receive additional information. We are happy to assist you with choosing appropriate equipment for your needs. Please have handy:

1) your dates of arrival and departure;

2) rental address;

3) property management name and phone number;

4) the name in which the reservation is in; and

5) payment information. You must provide a mobile phone number which you will be traveling with for unexpected questions.

Some companies do not assign a unit or provide the address until your arrival. In that case, please provide the management company name and phone number and we can work out the delivery address with the company. We deliver and pick up between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM, 7 days/week.

 

What communities do you deliver to?

Crib Connection services the area from Fort Walton Beach to West Panama City Beach to include: VPS Airport (Ft. Walton airport), Okaloosa Island, Destin, Crystal Beach, Miramar Beach, Sandestin, South Walton County (Santa Rosa Beach, Dune Allen, Gulf Place, Blue Mt. Beach, Grayton Beach, Watercolor, Watersound, Prominence, Seaside, Seagrove, Seacrest Beach, Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach) and Carillon Beach. Some of the above listed have Panama City Beach as the “official address,” however, they are locally known as Seacrest Beach, Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach, all within our areas of service.

Is there a minimum order?

You may rent for a day or 2, however the minimum rental charge is 3 days per item. The minimal order is $50 (excluding taxes).

I'm arriving tomorrow. Can I still have baby equipment delivered?

Yes, but please call 850.225.0353 ASAP and at least leave a voice mail, so that we can be sure your items are on the next delivery truck. You will be contacted to complete the reservation.

Can I have items delivered today?

Frequently it is possible to get your items to you on the same day. Please call 859.654.8890 and we will assist you. If not, the next day delivery is guaranteed.

What about the safety and cleanliness of your equipment?

All items are your familiar brand names and are JPMA and CPSC certified. You will receive new to gently used items which have been thoroughly safety inspected and cleaned with an antibacterial disinfectant prior to delivery. Linens and fabric covers which can be removed (such as high chair covers, swings and bouncers) are laundered with a biodegradable soap.

Are the cribs up to date? Do they have drop sides?

We only provide full sized wooden cribs which conform to the new government and CPSC safety regulations. They do not have drop sides or any other unsafe features.

What are your delivery and pick up hours?

Generally the hours are 8 AM – 5 PM. Pick up of the equipment begins at 8 AM. If your items are not available when the driver arrives, there will be an additional $15 fee and an additional day’s rent charged, with the driver returning later. Please note that the management companies and housekeeping services keep us on a strict time frame of removing items so that they can clean and be ready for the next guest. Deliveries occur all day and depending on traffic conditions, should be delivered by 5. Earlier than 5 is possible, but not promised.

What if I have arrived and my items are not here?

Deliveries are generally by 5 PM; however traffic delays are a major issue in the attempt for timely deliveries. Please call 850.654.8890 when you check in and the driver will be informed that you are present and will attempt get to you a little quicker. At some hotels, please check with the bellman desk as this is where we are required to leave the items.

What if I have decided to stay an extra day or 2?

Please call 850225.0353 as soon as you know the changes to your plan. Extensions are possible in most cases and will only cost the additional day’s rent, but we should know before the driver arrives. If the driver arrives and you have NOT notified us of your extension, there will be a $15 charge and the additional day’s rent.

What is your cancellation policy?

All cancellations will be given credit for future bookings.

Do I have to be present for delivery and pick up of my baby gear?

No. That is why we ask for the property manager information. We will attempt to make arrangements with the manager to put the items in the house or condo. If this is not possible, we will deliver the items to the door, a porch, side porch, carport or other secure place at the rental property. If we do not have access to your house or condo, please return the items to the exterior location on your date of departure. If you move the equipment to another address or unit, please let us know prior to your departure date. If we must search for the equipment, the charge will be $50 for the search, $15 for each return trip in attempts to retrieve the equipment, and possibly full replacement costs if the equipment is not located.

Is the crib assembled for our arrival?

Absolutely! If we have not already placed it for you, the full sized wooden crib and mattress is ready for use in literally 5 seconds. If we do not have access to the home you are staying in and we must leave the crib in an accessible place, simply roll it to your location and open the ends, with all sections safely falling into place. These cribs are the leading edge of safety and convenience.

What if I didn’t get the same item that was on the web site picture?

Replacement of used items is a never ending story! Manufacturers are ever changing colors, not to mention upgrading features for their line of products. Your item may be of a similar or a newer version than the web site depiction.

What if my baby does not like the crib or other items?

This is probably a new adventure for your infant or toddler and they are not always receptive to new environments. We hope everyone adapts well, but we are not responsible for your child’s lack of interest, lack of sleep or lack of eating while the equipment is in your possession. There are no refunds for items that have been delivered.

What are car seat requirements for the state of FL?

It is the responsibility of the supervising adult to ensure that any child under 5 years old is seated in a federally-approved child car seat. Failure to do so could result in a $60 fine and 3 points against your driver’s license.

Use the following car seat guidelines from the FLHSMV while driving with a child in your vehicle.

Birth – 1 year old

  • Use a rear-facing child car seat.

1 year old – 3 years old

  • Use a rear-facing child car seat until they outgrow the weight and height limit of the child car seat.
  • Normally when children are over 1 year old and weigh over 20 pounds, you can switch to a forward-facing car seat.

4 years old – 7 years old

  • Use a forward-facing child seat until they reach the weight and height limits recommended by the manufacturer.

8 years old – 12 years old

  • Use a booster seat in the back seat until your child is big enough to use the car’s seat belt.

Never put your child in a child car seat in the front of a vehicle with a passenger air bag. It is always safest for your child to ride in the back seat.

Do I need to clean the rental items and wash the linen we used?

We clean each item previous to delivery and expect reasonable cleanliness upon the return. You are not expected to sanitize as we do, however, dried on food, gum, melted candy, sodas and colored beverage stains, pen and crayon marks, as well as urine/feces, are considered to be extraordinary cleaning. For this, we will charge $25 per/item for the extraordinary cleaning. Indelible staining will result in full replacement costs. This also applies to the removal of extraordinary sand left on strollers, joggers, wagons or any other item. Plain water is just fine for rinsing off the sand. If you leave the cleaning to us, please expect a $25 cleaning fee. If you are using Crib Connection linen, it will arrive packaged for your assurance that it is clean. At departure, please leave the linen on the crib mattress.

My 3 mo. old daughter will not go to sleep without rocking and I forgot to ask if the beach house had a rocker. After a rough first night, the house manager told me to call the Crib Connection. The rocker was was delivered by nap time and I can’t thank you enough. The rest of the week was peaceful because I could rock my little one to sleep for her naps and night time. You have a great service.
